Default Somme Mud

Fascinating book on the 45th Btn in France 1916-19.
Somme Mud by EPF Lynch ''The experience of an infantryman in France 1916-19.
Worth a read,
Alan

Have got a copy of Somme Mud, is defiantly a good read. Also read In the Footsreps of Pte Lynch, which was good as well. My wife's g-grandfather (standing in photo) was joined the 13th and then was with the 45th from the creation of the BN to his return to Aus in 1919. Never received a scratch. So both books offered a good insight into their experience

That is his colour patch above his lance corporal stripe.

Cheers Nick

Hi Mate,

The memorial card is his. I only have a copy. It's good that it's all together and still in the family.

Cheers Nick
