Default South African Signals Corps

I would be most grateful if one of our members could let me know what this badge with the screw post to rear was worn on. I will be moving it on.
Thanks in advance.

Initially on a Cap and then later on a Beret with a colour corps bar worn below the badge.

Screw posts were common on South African badges from the 1960's onwards

Thanks for that. Long screw posts for cap or beret, couldn’t have been that comfortable.
If anyone would like it please pm me & I’ll send it on gratis. The top of the right hand is missing mind.

Yes the bolts could be uncomfortable on berets, so many troops cut down the bolts far enough to be able to fit on the beret and secured with the supplied round nuts.
