Sorry Frank, I didn't see your reply all those years ago.
I wondered if they had at some point been on a trophy belt, but some sharp bits along the top edge had been removed to make it more comfortable? Rob |

I have just bought this badge as a copy for copy money (£7.99) because it appears to be from the same dies as my two cut down examples, its slightly nicer in the hand than it appears in the photos but I don't think its original.
So I'm assuming its a true restrike? And there is abit of clear glue or resin in one of the end handles for some reason? Rob |

I'm interested in the origins of the dies involved, so it seemed like a good idea to link images of similar original and fake badges for the future when these restrikes (fakes) are old. Rob |

I do not believe the above is a restrike from an original die but rather an out and out fake.
