Shoulder title ID help

hi, can anyone out there id this English shoulder title-
Northants
(brass curved, 53mm - not shown in Westlake).
looks military, hopefully a Northamptonshise regt variant, but might be civilian ?
any help much appreciated

It is possibly that it may have a RED CROSS connection.
