Was only worn for a very limited time in roughly 1992/93 . D ( or Development) Wing was where those Officer Cadets who were destined for either TA or Regular commissions gained more experience of tactics and doctrine prior to attending their respective commissioning course . The badge was introduced by Ian Kelly who was at that time serving at Sheffield UOTC
