Cheers, Tinto
The badge ( 2683) is a drawing, has anybody seen an actual ex of their cap badge? , the SBP of this regiment is known and an image was enclosed in my earlier post. It has the Taj Mahal as a device.

Default Agra Bank ref. in Agra Volunteers IA list

Was looking at the Volunteers IA list 1889. Attached.
Not understood why the Agra Bank shown as Agents for the Agra Volunteers.
(Maybe some Bankers were part time Volunteers ?
Like Tea and Indigo planters were (in) the Assam and Behar Vols)

Thanks for those scans/photos (well, I can not realy read the smallprint ).

In any case, IMHO the Agent is just the person (in this case the bank) that is the intermediate between the regiment and the rest of the world for making/receiving payments (on bying things and maybe wages) etc. It is not saying that any employee of that bank is a member of the regiment.

1. I don't think the PM facility allows attachments.
Else could have sent the scans. Don't know how
email links work here. Confused
2. I think a right click on the attachment(s) and save as .jpg
and then enlarge a bit seems to work.

Never mind. This is not a complaint realy. And indeed, enlarging the saved JPEG does make it better readable. But it has of course it's limits, one pixel will be one enlarged pixel not give a better resolution. But it this case you hint realy is enough to make it readable. Thanks again.

In the meantime I found this link to a PDF that explains more about regimental agents. The document is about a different time and about Britain (not India), but it is what I had in mind when you mentioned the Bank being an agent.
