Albert,

This badge is much reproduced I am afraid.

You have to ask yourself about why its so aged on the rear as well as the front, especially as the loose stitching implies it was removed from uniform.

I would be suspicious.

Who is the seller?

regards

I think if you already know the seller is bent, it best to simply just stay away and not bother buying anything, at least you do not end up being stung.

Everyone's fave seller of pimped up items interspersed with some good, uses at least three names on ebay, and well known for adding flashes or spurious named history to helmets et al.

Thanks Jerry, but unfortunately that description applies to several of these sellers at the moment, both on ebay and with their own websites.

regards

Hi

I am more than happy to give the name of the seller in a pm to anyone who wants to know

But i do not want to do this in public when there is a chance the badge is ok

So what is the verdict on the badge ( regardless who the seller is)

Regards

Albert

Hi Albert,
I think if you compare it with an original you will see the difference.
There is a nice example which is sold but still viewable on Les Martin's website.

Hello Albert,
I think it is rubbish, if you have bought it, I would simply return it and demand a refund.
Regards Frank

It is an artificially aged replica, I believe makes a habit of this practice.
