unknown silver collar badges

Hi Gents,
I have a pair of hallmarked silver collar badges which are unknown to me. Would appreciate if anybody could identify them for me.

The "Crowns" are those of a Marquis/Duke. The initials below almost certainly are those of the man himself. The badges would be worn on staff livery jackets/coats or similar. Can't identify them unfortunately.

I think its a Prince/Princess..... in this case "George" .... the coronet has Fleur-de-lys and a cross.

Best take a better close up of the cornet (cleaned). The detail in the cornet will give more info.....

Thanks for your interest. I believe the hallmarks are for 1927 ( if this helps) Birmingham Assay made by JRG&S.
hopefully I have attached a better picky.

Duke of Cambridge's Own
On formation in 1881 the regimental title was The Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). The regiment inherited the designation "Duke of Cambridge's Own" from the 77th Foot, to which regiment it had been awarded in 1876. The regiment was also permitted to bear the coronet and cypher of Prince George, Duke of Cambridge on its colours and badges. The regiment had earlier been granted the plumes and motto of the Prince of Wales in 1810 for twenty years service in India.

Prince George, 2nd Duke of Cambridge (George William Frederick Charles; 26 March 1819 – 17 March 1904) was a member of the British Royal Family, a male-line grandson of King George III, cousin of Queen Victoria, and maternal uncle of Queen Mary, consort of King George V. The Duke was an army officer by profession and served as Commander-in-Chief of the Forces (military head of the British Army) from 1856 to 1895. He became Duke of Cambridge in 1850 and field marshal in 1862.
