Default 299 Signal Squadron (Special Communications) TRF

Here is a brassard with 299 Sig Sqn (SC) TRF. Its members have to attend the
'Special Communications Course (SCC) 34 weeks long and split into three modules; military and underpinning skills, special communications equipment and procedures and special to role environmental training.' (from British Army website)

A very short lived patch from a very small unit. 299 now wear the 1 Sig Bde patch in line with the policy on unit patches.

Yes. In 2015. By 2016 the direction was given that all unit badges were to be removed and only bde badges were to be worn.

Not to worry, I'm sure a well known seaside based seller will start thumping them out for those of us who never came across one!
