Default 1st Durham Light Infantry 10th (Indian) Division

A close up from a recently acquired photograph showing four members of the 1st battalion Durham Light Infantry in a horse drawn carriage in Germany in 1945. The formation signs of the 10th (Indian) Division are clearly visible as are their Africa Star ribbons.

To illustrate the vagaries of photography here is a second photograph from the other side of the carriage with no cap badges or formation signs visible.

It is certainly possible that they were taken in Trieste but there is nothing on the photographs that points to any specific location.
