Here is an M.N. officers' badge [with packet] made by STEPHEN SIMPSON, GOLD & SILVER LACE MANUFACTURER AND EMBROIDERER, Avenham Rd. Works, Preston. They were in business from 1829 to 1929.

Hi
I have a small silver watch fob that has intrigued me for years. It would appear to relate to someone who was on a ship that was torpedoed and has a "transport" number ("A-19" or somesuch). It is then engraved on the back "Torpedoed March 1917". It would be nice to place it with a particular loss, so I'll dig it out and see if we have some bright spark who can help! |
