Gents,
Is this badge any good? I picked it up amongst a lot of other badges. Mick

Hello Mick,
I cannot answer your question except to say that all my Tank Corps have sliders and none are of this particular pattern. Yours could well be a maker's variation. Cheers, Tinto |

Hi Mick,
I'm glad you posted this as I have seen a Tank Corps badge and also wanted to know if it was genuine; it also has lugs but the one in Wilkinson's has a slider. Tank Corps back.jpg Tank Corps front.jpg Perhaps the RTR fundis can kill 2 birds with one stone. Thanks Iain

In days of yore when the War Office authorised new badges they stated what metal it should be in and what fixing it should have. When that of the TC was 'Sealed' in October 1917 it was to be made in gildng metal with a vertical shank !
