Default South Lancashire

I was sorting a few badges today and came across this South Lancashire that is such a horrible looking badge that even I can pick it as a probable dud. Nothing seems to line up on it, there are gaps between the whitemetal and gunmetal backing, the crown, which was attached with so much braze that it looks as though it started to ooze out, is crooked and there are no brazing/sweat holes. Am I learning or what!

Donny,
I would say your badge is genuine, just poorly made which is common for this Regiment for some reason? Lambourne's for example did not use sweat holes and their badges often display braze spils or runs such as this!

Im'e with Andy , It is amazing how rough some genuine badges are, and as stated some of the lambourne ones are all over the show.I think especialy 1st war badges when demand was so high a lot of small companies sprang up to fill the gap, The standards were not always as high as Gaunt or Firmin, Kevin

Thanks, Andy and Kevin! If it is likely to be genuine I shan't toss it aside but it must be the roughest put together badge that I have handled.
