Default Indian Medical Service cap badge and title

Managed to couple a slip on IMS title with its respective, bazar made, cap badge. I have checked on the order of battle of the three Indian divisions that have fought in Italy, 1943-1945, and looks like all the medical personnel belonged to the IMS, still in my collection I have a BD blouse badged to a RAMC major of the 8th Indian Division: possibile seconded to the Division? any evidences of RAMC personnel serving with other Indian divisions? Thank you for your advise, fellow collectors!

Almost certainly the case that RAMC medicos were attached to the Indian divisions, as the IMS would have been hard pressed to keep up with the demand for trained officers and men during the wartime expansions. It was not even uncommon to have British NCOs and warrant officers atached as instructors/specialists - armourer sergeant, for example - to IA units and formations. And of course there were 5 Brtitish Infantry battalions and three RA Field Artillery reg'ts attached to the 8th Div., all of whom presumably had RAMC support.
