Default Bullion Embroidered Officers Badges

Attached is my small collection of wire embroidered cap badges. Excluding the smaller Welsh piece in the top row which is likely a collar. Varying time periods and construction.

thanks
Jack

Hi Jack,

A really splendid group indeed. I have always loved bullion type badges be they headdress or formation etc, all are a fascinating area to study/collect too.

I only have a few example scattered around my collections but find I get a great deal of joy from them.

Well done..!

Cheerio,

Roy

Thanks fellas appreciate the kind words.

Leigh, I have never figured out with any certainty what the PWF badge was.

"Always" the case, I just wondered if the badge had any provenance to a specific unit so at least that example could be properly identified.
I have only a few officers bullion badges, probably 6 or 7 more still fitted to caps & berets (a fair few more if you count German WWII collar patches & shoulder straps).

This just about counts as an officers bullion badge?

interesting RTR officers beret badge (I'm after one of those badges), but as you've indicated is it an original for the astrakhan or a more recent production/

Tim,
Great looking group of badges. I have looked through your album a few times previous.
