Default what is a RAF rescue volunteer sealed pattern

hi guys
just picked this up today.
can anyone shed any light on it?
its for sale or trade if anyones interested

Mountain rescue teams? Earlier than the coiled rope version?

It's a badge worn by Volunteers who are not part of the MR teams but who are willing to give a hand if needed.

'Pre-1959' will refer to the date it was originally authorised/sealed. The latter date is a revised date for its pattern, IE that it is still as per the sealed pattern on that date (1970)
