Wrong info?

I have been asked to help with this gentleman.
Name Joseph Robinson . Leicestershire Regt in WW1
They have been given info from a records source which I believe is not correct.
He did serve in the Leicesters but info given is this.....No. 211354 and Labour Corps and the following letters. LC10 1B80- 8133....( the 1B88 may be copied wrong)
How do we go from here?

There is a medal index card for 211354 Pte Joseph Robinson of the Labour Corps but there is no mention of the Leicestershire Regt.
The other numbers you quote should be LC101 8133. These refer to the roll and page number entries for his British War and Victory Medals.
Sorry to say that I don't have full access to Ancestry to check for his service or pension papers, perhaps another forum member will be able to help out. Failing that your local library will have Ancestry access.

I would ask your correspondent if they have any more details that can be checked in surviving papers in WO363 and WO364, find a match and you have your man.
