YMCA badge for War Work

It is a little concerning that the South African section of the forum seems to have gone into sleep mode. Whats happening ?
Maybe we need to show a few odd and different items which might re-awaken the general interest ?
On a recent trip to Cape Town I picked up this little silver badge to the South African YMCA awarded for war work. I'm not sure whether it was issued in WW1 or WW2. Can anyone help ?
