These are both WWII vintage and Cape Corps Motor Transport

CCMTB - Cape Corps Motor Transport (Brigade or Battalion)

CCMT - Cape Corps Motor Transport

There are quite a few of these titles, but all pretty hard to come by. George English had a very nice one but the Castle Museum got that one from the estate.

The South Africa with R is of course Reserve officers in the UDF
The SP if White metal may be an early SA Railway Police collar badge (SP - Spoorweg Polisie)

AC might actually be Australian Commonwealth. These were made in brass by A.J. Parkes, and in bronzed by Watson and Crane.

You have a great selection, well done!

The 2nd Tvl Scottish badge was also used as a slouch hat badge, hence backing.

Thanks Steven

Yes collecting badges was the starting point. Still have the buttons that over time I have added to. I am afraid the badge has had a number of transformations over the years starting with British Line Regiments, then Fusiliers, followed by two collections (started and then sold to fund other collections) of Cape Colonial badges. Focus on the badge collection for the past few years has been on South African Cadet Badges, where I have managed to get a fair collection together. When I get a chance I will post these on the forum as well.

This was told to me many years ago , by a very seasoned collector
