Default Bad terminology?

I landed on this manufacturer's site in pursuit of something else (modern cloth, in fact) but found page after page of badges described as 'genuine' and 'made to MOD specification'

..why MOD would issue a spec. for a Tank Corps badge passes me by.

Now I'll admit, some of them do look quite appealling and make you think this is how they may have looked out of stores. But they aren't the real deal.
