Default undentified Button

Hi
Found this button yesterday in a 1864 Victorian military skirmish area along with 3 musket balls and a fired .577 projectile and a piece from a Armstrong round

The button isnt the usual military buttons i find as it has no regiment number.
Its more of a pattern.
Just hoping someone might have seen one before

i have attached 3 photos of the button, back is unreadable.
