Default Bullion SAS wings

Any thoughts on these, original or not and date please.

I searched through all the threads with the word bullion in them and found none that matched, either original or fake/copies.

I picked a selection of items up today, most are post war, no doubts apart from these and an odd pair of F.A.N.Y. titles in blue on maroon that I have not seen before. I'll post them in another thread.

Never seen this pattern before Jerry.
If they didn't break the bank then they wer worth buying.
Happy to have as something different.
And I always keep an open mind mate.
Good find. Hopefully!

Hi Jerry,

I too have never seen this pattern before but a lovely looking, well made set of wings.

Looking forward to seeing if someone has more information but in the meantime thanks for sharing.

Cheerio,

Roy

Thanks Jon and Roy for commenting.

I've never seen a real one only copies but this paratrooper wing looks like the one worn by the South African Hunter Group that was formed in 1968.

I would agree with Tonomachi -- here's an illustration of the RSA Hunter Group para wing, from Bragg and Turner's book "Parachute Badges and Insignia of the World."

Thank you Tonomachi and castagain for resolving the mystery, or at least what it is meant to be, next question is it actually what it looks to be.

Default Hunter Group

hi Jerry,

Made in Pakistan, I am afraid. Very different from the Original Hunter group wings.

Cheers,

Johan

Thanks Johan.

I had been informed elsewhere that they were wrong but I had not posted that here as I should have.
