Default Are these Royal marine related?

Evening all.
These came with 2 wartime RM green berets. 1945 dated.
Are these commando or RM related?
Regards

Probably 40 Commando, Royal Marines ... I doubt they are 'wartime' lanyard and garter tabs ... we were wearing similar in the early '60's !

Ritchie.

If the lanyard is light blue then it was still in use in 1979 when I acquired one from a RM stores in Derry.

Hi Jon
There is an interesting thread here
http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ht=garter+tabs
Post 14 shows two RM Garter tabs I have.
As mentioned, quite possibly post war in the case of my two at any rate

I have this as a possible 40 Commando lanyard although it appears to be a lighter blue?

That's the colour of the lanyard I have, from the stores of whichever Commando was at Ballykelly in 1979.
I got a dark blue one at the same time.

Thank you guys. From the supplies J2 I'd say 40 commando.
Happy days as they don't seem to be that common.
Weird that the guy had 2 wartime berets issued if it was 70s?
I'll see what else is in the box later. Regards
Jon
