Here is an arm badge for identification and dating :



Dimensions :
- Height :72,29 mm
- Width : 36,46 mm
- Thickness : 8,86 mm

Royal Engineers NCO's arm badge of a pattern I have seen mostly worn by Canadians.

With that type of construction, more likely First WW or between the wars. The Second WW patterns were flatter with less definition.
