Respected opinions on the GWF differ from me, so we await a better scan. Will report back.

A new scan was finally obtained and it clearly shows a MT.

Mechanical Transport / Motor Transport. This would certainly fit with the soldier identified as ASC.

An extremely interesting very very early use [Great War] of MT/ wreath and substantially pre-dates any sighting that I have.
Badge never made it into PVCN or Clothing Regs. |
