Now the interesting piece.....

2. Canada over MN shoulder flash in yellow thread over navy blue.....

Default MN

I haven't seen this Merchant Navy flash. It appears to be Canadian made. Perhaps a special purchase by the sailor?

I have the MN in red & yellow embroidery but I have never seen a photo of a sailor wearing it.

That is what I mean.....

I got the Cap Badge, MN Badge, Photo and medals all from the same family and was told that they all belonged to the same man as he only had daughters....

Thanks Mike, appreciate that.

As he appears to have had Canadian service in 2WW why not get Arnie Kay to check & see if there might be a file on him in LAC?

I don't know if there are MN records held in LAC but Arnie would know.
