Default half wing with parachute and star

I understand half wings with parachutes designated parachute instructors, but what about this one with a star as well? Or perhaps it isn't RAF? Any comments about this one.

Thanks Ian. What date would that be? With your info, I just found one on eBay and it was described as WWII Ghana Army RAF. For what its worth, it has an old feel about it.

Yep I have one identical, and its Ghanaian. Pakistan also had one with the a crescent and star in place of just the star and India with three lions (If I remember correctly).
