Default Tynemouth Police - Can anyone help

Hi All,

I've just found out a relative was a special constable during WW2 so I was wondering if anyone out there knows if they had an enamel lapel badge specifically for them?

I have seen the Northumberland one and the Durham one so I'm assuming there may have been one for Tynemouth.

Thanks a lot,

Michael

Yes, there was a custom made SC lapel badge for Tynemouth Special Constabulary, WW2 period.

That's great, thanks a lot Harry. At least I know what I'm looking for now.
