Hi all,

Would anyone be able to advise if these badges are real or fake?

The artillery one has a strengthening wire behind it - have not seen this before.

Any guidance / knowledge would be much appreciated.

The RA is fine,a really nice badge. As for the LF one,I have one exactly the same. Bit of a mystery,a good strong slider but a repro quality badge.

The Recon Corps badge looks like a fake to me due to the bottom part of the spear being thinner than the rest of the spear staff.

The RA was introduced in 1917 with the wire neck. The recon is problematic due to the spear end. The Green Howards is probably OK.

The others look fine.

Can you post a more straight on front pic of the Lancashire Fusiliers badge please.

I think the LF is probably ok, but it is a poor quality example; easily and cheaply replaced.

From the photograph, I would not be happy with the Recce Corps, the others don't look too bad and I particularly like the RA.
