Default Scottish Police Badge?

Picked this up amongst a lot sale. White shiny metal, very solid, KC above thistle and SEMPER VIGILO below thistle. Slider is marked
A. N(?). ALLEN
(B'HAM) LTD

Wikipedia description of Scottish Police crest from 1930's onwards seems to fit. Can anyone confirm that is what this is, whether it is likely to be genuine and whether it is of any interest to any forum member

Cheers - Ray

Yes it is a Scottish Police cap badge with the slider it could be the old motor bike helmet badge or WPC cap badge . Male cap badges had lugs on them .
