Default RN 1825-27 dug button

Just unearthed. Another gem rescued from the plough!
It was face down and at first I thought it another flat blazer button but when I turned it over I could just discern the outlines of a design (crown & anchor).
Identified as for Royal Naval commissioned officers, 1825-27. Backmark deciphered as 'TREBLE GILT STAND(ARD) COLOUR'; One-piece; 21mm. Still has its loop shank. Traces of gilt at back.

Thanks Irv. That was a quick reply.

Buttons and badges are also my favoured finds and some finds can be real eye-openers!
