Worcestershire badges found
Hi Guy's,
Found these out metal detecting yesterday. Not my bag so any info would be good. I did a search on Google and the forum but only found one picture of the cap badge which I found strange. Regards Irv |

Hi Irv,
Not an expert on Worcester badges but I believe your badge is a puggaree badge worn circa 1891-1900. Bantam |

Simon is right. Glengarry badges have four long loops - as this does. It was worn between 1881 and 1894 (though as an HPC, it was worn as long as the Home Service Helmet was worn).
Puggaree badges - using the HPC / Glengarry design but have a 60mm long slider instead of loops. Curiously, these were ordered in 1903 but never seem to have been issued - though there are loads in existence. |

Thanks Guy's
So this would be 1881-1894? Yes? The other badge has the 'Shire' missing?? Is it complete or is it broken? Found near Newport IOW with quite a lot more military items. No reference to this land ever having military personnel staying there. Irv |

The shoulder title WORCESTER is complete. The WORCESTERSHIRE title was much more rounded. regards
