Without checking books, I think its a wolfs head, something to do with large numbers of Canadian troops stationed in the area, so I read somewhere.

These dormouse badges, I know nothing of them other than what I would've read yonks ago in Len Whitaker's "Some Talk of Private Armies", but were'nt they made or often made on a local level, by HG's wives and mothers and the like?

Addition: just looked at that book, he says worn by Special Companies of the HG trained in the use of explosives specifically to act as tank-hunters and behind other lines saboteurs.
But then I expect you Auxiliary afficionados know that all ready.

Not the greatest image quality, however this is my example of the "Dormouse". I have owned it for many years and believe it is authentic. Unfortunately it, along with many other things, are in storage for the time being, so can not get to it for a while.
