Default GURKHA SIGNALS

I was looking at some Signal items on line and I found a BURMA SIGNALS shoulder title along with some other S/T for Burma(which are all repro) and while trying to find out more about this unit I came across the following Gurkha Signals badge with Kings crown which appears to be made of cast W/M. Can you throw any light/information on this badge please?

Default Gurkha Signals Badge

Dear Jerry.

I have seen this same badge several times before. As you say it is a Kings Crown.

Well I must say this is a glaring fake. The Gurkha Signals were formed and badged on the 23rd September 1954 and hence their new badge had a Queens Crown.

Gurgha Signals as they were known before this date wore the Royal Corps of Signals badge.

Nothing else to say really Jerry.

Best wishes

Chris

Thanks for your reply Chris, I thought it was a strange one but someone out there has/is making them.
Jerry.

p.s. Can you PM me your web site as I seem to have "mislaid" it, thanks.

I'm familiar with the site that you found this badge on - suffice to say there are a lot of fake Gurkha badges on it. Tim

Another suspect one, here. Think it could be AMMO?
