Default Gold Coast Territorial Force

Hi Gents,

I just wanted to share a recent find.

A bi-metal Gold Coast Territorial Force cap badge by Firmin London. Very pleased to finally add one of these to my Colonial collection.

Cheerio,

Roy

Lovely badge and congratulations on a great find, Roy!

Interesting to note the similarities between this badge and the RWAFF and now wondering if I cd fake a GCTF badge by combining my RWAFF with something from 10 GR? Only joking!

Congratulations again and thanks for sharing.

Awra best

William

Thanks William,

Yes indeed a great similarity between the two, I'm sure that was not lost on whatever makers made both.

Now I'm looking for a Firmin RWAFF example to compare.

Cheerio,

Roy

Very nice Roy

Great iconography, an elephant and a palm tree. Does not get more exotic than that. I have always had a soft spot for African themed and related badges.

Thanks for that Jack,

Couldn't agree more mate. A lovely looking badge.

Although not silver and gilt, it is bi-metal, so not sure if this is OR's or Officers. Looks a little fancy for OR's but whatever the case, I still like it.

Cheerio,

Roy

Hi Jack,

Oooops! I just checked and I do indeed have an example of a RWAFF by Firmin, so will have to have a closer look and report back.

Cheerio,

Roy

Very nice items gents, thanks for sharing. Again for completeness here is a Northern Rhodesia Army Service Corps shoulder title I had some years ago.
