Forgot to mention, just heard that this bloke may have been a WO in the Army. If so, what a vile man.

Oh Andy, forgive and forget, they are only bit's of tin at the end of the day and you cannot take them with you, plenty more to be had.

You have not said what the badge in question actually was, at the awful price quoted, it must have been a particularly nice one?

A seller reneging on a deal is something that has only happened to me probably twice in well over 50 years of collecting which I think shows that the majority of sellers/dealers are honourable men, when it does happen it does leave a nasty taste and I certainly would not ever consider buying from that person again.

To be honest, it is something that has never happened to me, but, I must agree.

So Andy, perhaps best not to forgive and forget, as very clearly the two are linked!

I do not know who the seller in this case was ,but Ihave a lot of sympathy for him Isuspect if he wanted £125 less for his item this would have been his asking price I also suspect he has overheads to pay ,and if a full time dealer family commitments and being paid over a long period of time may have not been an viable option Hence the item sold elsewhere. I have always taken the route if I can,t pay don't buy I have done deals on a hand shake ,but living in the real world I know no transaction is complete until money has changed hands or signature obtained
