australian army nursing service 1916 badges
hi all
just having a look at my aussie nursing items and noticed there was a difference in these australian army nursing service 1916 appreciation badges. as you can see from the pics, one seems to be brass/gilt and enamel while the other is clearly gold and stamped 9ct. now if these were made by different manufacturers then i could understand the possible difference however these were both made by PJ KING. does anyone know if these were issued in various metals and in particular why? thanks in advance bc
