Another two Jedburgh wings...
Gentlemen,
two SF/Jedburgh wings. I consider the top one as a repro for sure. The bottom one is supposedly French, but I have my doubts... Kindly request some feedback. Boes |

Hello Boes,
I would just offer the opinion that neither wing’s construction and materials appear to match the four authenticated styles of original SF wings. Again, Dobw in a related thread provided a good citation to Les Hughes’ articles on this wing, which include good photos and well researched background on this widely reproduced wing. Les’s website, insigne.org, used to include the full articles and photos, but he abbreviated the listings in about 2010-11, in advance of publishing a planned book. I’d recommend that anyone interested in pursuing original SF wings search for back-issues of The Trading Post magazine that featured these articles. PM me if you’d like some help. Best regards, Donovan

Neither of these SF Wings are wartime originals. Made post-war and are reproduction.
