Vietnam Veterans Day

Upwey / Belgrave RSL held a Vietnam Veterans Day service at the sub branch on Sunday 23rd August to Commerate the battle of Long Tan, 18th August 1966, and the remember the 500+ Aussies who paid the supreme sacrafice during the Vietnam War.

A good crowd was in attendanc including Vietnam Veterans and other modern veterans including a recent new member who has served with the RAF in Afganastan where he wes blown up by a roadside IED.

Following the service a BBQ lunch was had together with a few cold beers.

Again Upwey / Belgrave RSL "Remembered Them".
