Cheshire Regiment, New Addition.
Hello Chaps,
There has been one or two additions to the KC officers collection recently, and I guess that pride of place needs to go to the Cheshire Regiment. This badge is one of the extremely elusive silver/gilt versions that are at the very top of my wants list. The ORs bimetal gapfiller that I've been using, in it's place, up to now, if given a bit of a polish, I've always thought is rather hard to tell apart. Mike Finchen had a very nice J&Co RIR OSD which I just had to have, so there's been a change or two in that part of the collection, I also managed to squeeze in another "Eiffel Tower" badge nearby. I seem to recall the sudden need for a Royal Hampshire OSD, as well, that gap has also been filled. Last edited by thursdaychris; 13-12-23 at 04:55 PM. |

Superb lot. Those early SG Cheshire badges do seem to be a bit elusive. I envy that RIR by Jennens. I try to look for that maker as they were perhaps the best of the time.

Yes, there certainly did seem to be a variety of fittings and methods of construction.
