Default Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Nissen........

© IWM (Q 1743)
Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Nissen talking to a Sergeant, possibly of the Royal Engineers, at Blangy, 1917. They are in front of a Nissen Hut, invented in April 1916 by Nissen while he was a Captain with the 103rd Field Company of Royal Engineers. In the doorway of the hut stands a guardsman of the Welsh Guards.
