A couple of suggestions about posting. If you are looking for identifications, the best sub-forum would be the It's a Mystery or Other Militaria.
Many of the medals in your images should be named on the edge or perhaps on the reverse. The name of the recipient can make a significant difference in value.
And, thanks for being up front about your intentions. Too often we have new members asking for id's and values so they can list on ebay or some other auction site.
Thanks for the reply Bill

yea I am not a fan of using eBay or PayPal ( scammers as both seller and buyer everywhere )

I have an excellent online record and feedback various gunboards both buying and selling.

I am completely upfront and honest. I wish to sell them at a fair price to both myself and the buyer ( happy middle ground price )
Hopefully there is a member in good standing on this site that lives near Seattle ( I live in a smaller town about 45 min drive north of Seattle WA - obvious I live in the USA )

Hello,
As a collector of both medals and badges for over 50 years there are certain requirements that you as a seller needs to satisfy before anyone will invest in medals other than WW2 un-named medals.

They are as follows:-

1. Clear Hi-res Photo of both the obverse and reverse.

2. Close up and in focus photo of the naming and an accurate transcript of it.

3. Details of any damage-such as edge knocks, scratches, loose suspender.

4. Anything on the medal that says 'R', 'Replacement', 'Duplicate' or the like.

Finally, the medals dirty condition, lack of or presence of a ribbon are not deciding factors in purchasing.

Hope that helps.

regards

I can email great quality pics of any of the medals
The reduction in size to load them on this site takes away the closeness of the image

if anyone wishes better pics all they have to do is ask as I have the original hi resolution pics still on my ipad

thanks for your suggestions

It is also possible to post images by using a host service, cutting and pasting the link into the image icon in the top tool bar in the advanced reply message.
