The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.
Hi,
Today I got to hand a badge of The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. If someone wanted to express their opinion whether I did well and turn it on if my collection that I will be very grateful. Dimensions: Height: 39.65 mm width: 34.45 mm Cezary |

My personal opinion is that it's a re-strike. Just based on the slider being very sharp edged from the front view and new looking of the badge and the distance the slider stands of the badge at the braze point.

i would not throw the badge out just yet, i would say the badge has all the signs of being a good item though you can never tell from pictures. A good sign is the strength of the slider, does it distort when you try and lightly bend it or is it fairly stiff? If it flexes slightly it probably is a good one. If it bends like lead chances are its a restrike. Cheers, Dave.

The slider is stiff - do not bend like lead.

I'll go out on a limb, as I'm no expert, and say that you have a good badge. The slider is in the right place, its the right shape, its not soft. The badge, also, has a reasonable patina.
Regards Phil
