Having a laugh . . !

Seriously, as I have always thought, if someone is offering dodgy items, what is the rest of their wares like?

It is bad practice i believe. Has anyone informed him i wonder, is it worth informing him ? I have told him about the Coldstream Guards badge, yet he still has it up for sale ! Do these " Dealers " want a bad reputation , do they not care ?

Yes, I informed him about the Manchester Regiment fakes and all I got was abusive emails so I blocked him.

He knows what he is doing.

I've watched the site for a while and the percentage of reproduction items seems to have grown and grown to what is now a strong majority. Based upon how blatant the fakes are I find it hard to believe the dealer believes the pieces to all be genuine? Jim

Another design that is a modern day reproduction is US Army 23rd Special Troops" Ghost Army.

While the unit existed and documented, the insignia shown was only a design on paper and was never allowed to be manufactured and or "unofficially" locally made and used (typical of US units and personnel to do) for security reasons during the war.

They were issued with SSI of units they were assigned too, in areas where they could show,so that hidden German sympathizers could radio back allied unit movements.

All part of the deception plan.

Note how used and "tea stained" on both sides-must of seen heavy action!!

Who ever brought that I hope they didn't pay much!!

If so I would ask my money back.
