Default White metal West Riding cap badge- V.B. ?

Can anyone please positively identify the all white metal West Riding badge ( which I will be selling ) in the attached photos. It has a single blade behind the bottom scroll and an unusual sort of lug behind the Lion.

My thoughts are a V.B. badge.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

P.B.

I think this is an example of the early 1900s..... normally there is a loop (top) and tang (bottom). Fitting into the Officers peaked cap.The smaller tang should be facing downwards.... not in the up position.
