Default Any ideas please?

Found in an old tin of photos and postcards. Does anyone have any clues please?

Honest opinion - highly suspect and I think a definate 'studio' mock-up. What respectable period 'Bobby' would wear a civvy collar and tie with the uniform??? On top of which I don't think it's a police uniform - there's no high collar on it. Same with the military uniform, looks like an R.E. Jacket, but I've never seen it worn with a Field Service Cap, a pillbox would be more likely and he looks too scruffy to be real.

thanks very much both You've confirmed what I suspected ! I haven't seen this before in an old pic...well not if you don't include Barry Island from the 1980s onwards!
