Absolutley not. I can't speak for any cadet units who tend to like woven badges but the regular bns are not wearing such items.

hi alan, thanks for confirming my suspicions, i thought these were "tacky" and knowing the guards high standard of turnout i couldn't see them lowering thier standards to this level. regards john

They are all commercially made badges along with a number of other Regimental badges on TRF colours, some soldiers have purchased them and have used them on their MTP kit as an ID badge.

To put the record straight, the ones in the link are not mine.
But I believe I am responsible for starting this trend/fashion of creating a commercially available badge that can be used by serving soldiers and the 'old & bold'.

Marc is correct in saying they are a private purchase item, and nowhere in MY e-bay listings or my website, are they alluded to as being official issue items.

They are quite simply, a bit of fun, a way of showing your 'colours'.

There seems to be a few who add regimental TRF colours to Ospray ZAP Patches as well.
