Default 23 Division

What are your opinions on these three 23 Div. signs. All are a bit different

Thank you
John

John,
I have to say I feel the first two are fine as I know where you got them from!

Best regards

Andy

Default 23rd Div

As Andy says, the first two look fine, the third one looks as though it could be a two colour version with only one colour printed.

The third one matches Cole's although he does not say how dark the blue is.

What the difference on the first two just printed and emb.?

First two are real but not sure if they are 23rd Div, look more like post war E&W Riding Area. I am sure the early WW2 23rd Div are stencilled on felt.

Agreed. In my opinion the first two are definitely East and West Ridings Area - genuine 23 Div signs from early 1940 are as rare as really obscure WW2 Special Forces cloth insignia.

Default 3rd sign

Thanks guys,

I take it that the 3rd one is a repo, fake, ect. since there have been no comments on it.
