Default Unknown badge for ID

Hi guys,

Can anyone identify this badge? Sent by a friend in Canada but he reckons it's ww2 British!! Obviously the crown says otherwise.

Whatever it is, the crown suggests post War.

Apparently could have been taken in the 60s in Hong Kong as he was Chinese.

I think the "CAS" is for "Civil Air Service".

Civil Aid Service, Hong Kong, ive not managed to get hold of any of their badges yet.
