Default Help Identifying This Cap Badge Please

Original Crop.JPG

Could anyone help me with this please? It looks like an inverted triangle with some sort of device on top like a crown or flames. There might be another round segment on the bottom of the triangle. I think I can see the triangular section reflected in the shiny chin strap. Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like The Kings Royal Rifle Corps.

Isn't it a Maltese Cross as worn by various Battalions of the London Regiment, the Bucks Battalion, the KRRC etc? The East & West arms of the cross aren't reflecting the light, but are definitely there.

Ian I agree, though badge looks too large to be Bucks Bn, but would go with KRRC as previous post and as you say could be a London Bn.
Cheers Tony.

Post the complete picture as you may be able to read his shoulder titles if he has any.

Yes that's it thank you everyone!! I can see now that I'm looking at the top section of a Maltese Cross with the crown on top and the top of the circular centre with the rest of the badge under the strap.
In the original photo he sat sideways with his right-hand sleeve to the camera with no shoulder titles or badges so this cap badge was the only clue.
Thanks again.

Hi,

here are some of the London options:

9th - Queen Victoria Rifles
6th - City of London Rifles
11th - Finsbury Rifles
16th - Westminster Rifles

Cheers, Tim

PS as it looks quite large, I suspect the 11th is too small, and maybe even 9th and 6th as well??
